Million Women Rise is an ad-hoc group of women who have all had enough of the pervasiveness, acceptance and normalisation of gendered violence against women. Women are organising all over the country for a day of action. Some women are organising a national march through London on International Women’s Day. It costs money to pay for insurance, PA hire for the rally, etc, so a number of benefits have been organised – see below.

Lets form a million women rise group in Bradford – we could
* Hold a public meeting to raise awareness of the pandemic of violence against women
* Have a benefit to raise some cash
* Encourage and support women to come on the march
* Organise transport to London

Suggested donation for entry £6 – please give more if you can.
It promises live music, poetry, films and in addition, there will be access to swimming pool, sauna, massage (bring two-towels and donations for this also).
It looks like its gonna be a great evening. Please come, and spread the word.
The venue doesn’t yet have accessible toilets. If anyone has info on a better – accessible venue – that we can use for future fundraisers, please let me know. This venue was offered free – and in order to raise as much money as poss, another free venue is sought.
