Develop your potential with The Haven Wolverhampton

The Haven Wolverhampton, established in 1973 provides safe, temporary accommodation for women and children who are homeless for reasons such as Domestic Violence and who seek emergency accommodation. Applications are invited for the following posts, from women who have a strong commitment to working with women and children.

Temporary Public Relations Officer
1 year, 371/2 hours per week
£18,810 per annum

The successful candidate will use all forms of media and communication to build and maintain the identity of The Haven Wolverhampton ranging from individuals, public bodies or services to businesses and voluntary organisations. You will be responsible for publicity and public relations of the organisation and will organise special events, such as conferences, exhibitions, open days etc. and any other events as directed by the line manager.

You will be integral to support the delivery of an international project “Protecting the Rights of Russian Women and Children Experiencing Domestic Violence – Supporting Women in the Court System” funded by the Big Lottery Fund.

You must have a degree or equivalent qualification in a related discipline such as Marketing. You will have previous experience of working in an office environment, developing publicity materials and working with media. You will have experience of organising the events and of recording, collating and monitoring information and excellent report writing skills.

Assistant ICT Officer
Permanent Contract, 211/2 hours per week, Job Share
£18,810 per annum (pro rata)

The successful candidate will provide a single point of contact for end-users to receive support and maintenance within the organisation’s desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via email) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required.
You must be educated to A-levels/Highers or equivalent standard in ICT related subject. You must have experience in ICT roles related to installing, configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining, upgrading, and repairing desktop, laptop and network hardware and troubleshooting across Active Directory, TCP/IP Networking environments and Windows clustered solutions. You will provide necessary ICT support to staff and service users.
